Our Speech Therapy Services

Free Consultation

A free consultation for speech therapy offers an opportunity to discuss speech and language challenges with a licensed therapist, explore potential treatment options, and set a time for a comprehensive evaluation. During the consultation, the therapist typically conducts a brief assessment to understand communication difficulties, whether they involve articulation, fluency, language comprehension, or other areas. The therapist also explains the therapy process, including frequency, techniques used, and expected outcomes, allowing the individual or caregiver to ask questions and determine if the service aligns with their expectations. This consultation provides valuable insights into how therapy can improve communication skills and quality of life.

Full Comprehensive Evaluation

A full comprehensive evaluation for pediatric speech therapy is an in-depth assessment designed to identify a child's unique communication strengths and challenges. Conducted by a licensed speech-language pathologist, this evaluation includes standardized tests, observations, and parent interviews to assess areas such as speech sound production, language comprehension and expression, social communication skills, and other relevant areas like play skills and attention. The therapist may also screen for additional factors, such as hearing or cognitive skills, to understand the full picture. Following the evaluation, the therapist provides a detailed report with findings, recommendations for therapy, and tailored goals to support the child’s communication development effectively. This comprehensive approach helps families and therapists create a targeted treatment plan to enhance the child's communication and social interaction skills.

Speech & Language Therapy

A speech and language therapy session, lasting between 30 to 60 minutes based on the speech-language pathologist’s (SLP) recommendation, focuses on individualized exercises and activities to improve a child’s communication skills. Each session may include targeted interventions for areas such as speech sound production, understanding of language, sentence structure, social communication, Augmentative/Alternative Communication Devices, or fluency, depending on the child’s unique needs. The SLP uses engaging, age-appropriate techniques, including games, visual aids, and interactive tasks, to keep the child motivated while working towards set goals. Additionally, the SLP may provide feedback and exercises for parents to practice at home, ensuring continuous progress between sessions. These consistent, tailored sessions play a crucial role in helping the child reach key communication milestones over time.

Parent Consultations

A parent-focused speech therapy session is dedicated to teaching and empowering parents with strategies to support their child’s communication skills at home. During this session, the speech-language pathologist (SLP) reviews the child’s specific speech and language goals and demonstrates practical techniques that parents can use in daily interactions. This may include modeling ways to encourage clear speech, expanding vocabulary, improving sentence structure, or fostering social communication skills. The SLP answers questions, addresses concerns, and provides resources or activities for continued learning and practice outside of therapy. By involving parents directly, this session strengthens the child’s progress and builds confidence in parents as active participants in their child’s language development journey.

Debra Newton

My Grandson went to Ms. Maddison for over 2 years in Las Vegas, when she worked here. She helped him with sounding out all of his ABC's, and teaching him how to read. It helped him so much with his motor skills for school. All of her students and parents were so sad when she left. She really cares for your child. I would recommend her hands down, and so would my Grandson who is 6.

Beyond impressed! We’ve done speech therapy at our local hospital but the in home experience and Madison’s experience and professionalism have made me question why we would ever go anywhere else. She immediately stepped in and helped us get working and communicating with our non speaking son. She got the device and program ordered on the second visit and every session were continually learning. Cannot believe we haven’t done this sooner!!!Highly recommend!!!!
